The thing that I like about science school is that you can do big things. We can even do crazy stuff like for example we can go on night hike and other stuff. In your cabins you have your own bed to sleep in and at 7:30 you go to campfire and then you get ready to go to bed and your camp leader tells you a story. If you are silent you get a shoe from the sandfellars.
So far, our time at Outdoor Science School was full of adventures, new learning experiences, and fun. When we arrived, we were doubting that we would enjoy our time at science camp. We were mistaken! The songs, laughter, and friendliness of everyone changed our minds. Koininia means kindness. That’s the word that describes everyone here. On our first hike, our naturalist encouraged everyone to learn and have fun at the same time. While hiking, we found banana slugs and salamanders and got to try a new plant that tasted like Sour Patch Kids.
